ROP Awareness campaign

The Regional Operational Programme (ROP) is a very technical name for an undertaking that could have such a lot of impact on our lives. As a result, the general public cannot really picture what ROP is. Because the concept is new and the terminology is dry, it is hard for all of us to imagine what the end results of this programme could be.  

That’s why there was a need to develop an awareness campaign: to show to the public what is really meaningful for all us; to reveal, from among the procedures and technicalities of programmes such as ROP, the vision and the core meaning of it.  

People need to know what ROP is about, what it could bring to us. If a town hall manages to change the face of the town with EU funds, this is an example to show to other cities and other mayors. It is an example that could be followed.  

The ROP awareness campaign aims is to inspire you, by concrete examples, to come with your own community development idea and present it to the authorities in your town. The authorities have to get involved and develop projects. At the end of the day, all the town mayors, representatives of public, private institutions or NGOs feel good and accomplished if they manage to bring improvements to their communities. And all of us could feel good and empowered if we can bring our own contributions to this process.
